This is a new series where I review video production products and how they hold up to my test methods verses price and quality.

In this video I take a look at tubetape.com's 2 QL-1000 softbox light kit. Its a great value for the money. I give it a markapsolon thumbs up! You can check it out at the address below:

  • More drums as background music.

    This guy is a maniac.

  • The fan is horrific, I pick it up loud and clear on my shotgun mic, I am going to disconnect it, otherwise the light is useless.

  • do want

  • On the body for the QL-1000 there is a small square channel with a spring friction clip. What is that for ?

  • @Enited just type in "cowboy studio ql 1000" it's pretty much the same thing but I wouldn't get it. It's hard to put together and the build quality isn't that great.

  • @AlexandherFilms do you have the link? I can't find it on Amazon.

  • I got mine for 250 at Amazon.com

  • Mark, Do you prefer this lightning kit more than the cool flo?

  • Hey Mark, great review. What would you recommend for a whole video studio kit. I see this is a good, inexpensive light kit. What kind of Camera, Mic, Green-screen kit, and video editing software would you recommend? I have some stuff but not sure I am making the quality of videos I see in this review. Would appreciate your recommendations. Thanks in advance.

  • I bought this kit and as soon as I plugged them in the bulbs stopped working in about five minutes. They don't look burnt at all, I heard a click and then nothing, the light fan is still running just no light. I'm concerned that will just happen again if I get more bulbs, any ideas what this could be? Now I have my studio ready to shoot video but no lights.

    Respectfully: Robert Larrabee
