Zero-Hawk Nelson cover for Starfish contest 2008

I have been wanting to enter the Starfish contest, put on by 95.9 The Fish radio, for years, and it is different every time. I am so bummed I missed my chance to enter the year they were asking for people to submit their own songs, but this year they want covers. This is one of three you can choose. They were all songs usually sung by guys, so none really fit into my range too well. )-: They provided the track and I am trying to work with it! Haha. It's a great song, just not one that I would typically pick. I don't feel like it showcases my voice very well, but singing any song at the Fishfest at the Verizon Ampitheater would be a dream so I hope this isn't too heard on your ears! In case you were wondering, the winner of the contest will be the person who's video gets the most views.

UPDATE: Well, first of all I want to thank each and every one of you who came to this video and viewed to help me win! You made my week by being so supportive and encouraging! Unfortunately for me, I did not win this year's Starfish contest. *tear.* I think I came in 3rd place.(Correct me if I'm wrong). I am pretty sure Nidya won, with a whopping 5 thousand something views! Girl, if you are reading this, I want to know your secret! She accumulated those views in a little over a week. this is so beautiful..im a HUGE Hawk Nelson fan...id love to see them in concert...sorry u didnt win, but this cover is so beautiful, u really did this song justice. i couldnt even dream of doin this any better lol...it definitely isnt my range...but i love this song..that and head on collision, and fourteen by them =] good luck in future years, i hope to see more of you xXx
