Omni - Daniel Lanois (and poem by Matthew K Wiley)

This is a video I made for the Daniel Lanois instrumental, Omni, and a poem I wrote inspired by it. :)
I first heard this piece of music in the film Slingblade, along with the beautiful song The Maker, also written by Daniel Lanois (which I made a video for awhile back). I think this is an instrumental companion to The Maker. :)
This is beautiful music, and evokes all kinds of things.
But when I started writing the poem, I was thinking about how despite all the suffering and pain in the world, and even in my own life, there is still a lot of beauty and grace 'all around'.
I believe that God is with us (omnipresent) even when we're not aware of it, and even when we don't believe in Him, and in the midst of all the suffering and pain and insanity, still offering His hand to us, and still calling us home... and He wants to be our strength and our refuge, our Father, our King...
I know it's hard to believe all of this, in this skeptical, performance-based, distrusting world we live in...
I know, it's very hard.
It's not easy for me either.
But I still believe it's true, in spite of all my striving, and all of this world's striving...
