Steve Hackett always has amazed me,This solo piece is so nice and deep in thought you drift away to dream land!

Great piece by "Maestro" Steve!!
Recently Steve has wrote a really piece for guitar inspired by Tolkien "Galadriel" from
album "The Book of Bilbo and Gandalf".

Steve Hackett legend, I'm a huge fan and have only discovered this song, such a shame that so many of his gems won't be heard by as many as there should be.

Look for his 2009 album, "Out of the Tunnel Mouth". Ant plays 12 string guitar in two tracks: "Emerald and ash" and "Sleepers". Wonderfull stuff

there is no guitarist better

What a beautiful piece of music.

ESPECTACULAR !!! Increible Steve como convina estilos, por un lado ambient, acustico, clasico, español, new age y por el otro lado progresivo, sinfonico, estridente, rocker... Conozco pocos como Steve Hackett que hacen esto !!! Espectacular!!!

totally agree! peter is great too, though. and so is tony's classical suite "seven". i think a reunion could lead to some very interesting music:)

txikilin did a great job with that video!!, and correct- this is from Steve's 1993 solo album called Guitar Noir. (Steve was the Genesis guitarist from 1971-1977, and I also read that this song was about Steve agonizing when to leave Genesis, and then he finally does. He was more into the "prog stuff", not the "Invisible Touch" type stuff. Steve's writing ideas for Genesis were not accepted as much as Tony Banks ideas-another reason he left)....

You are right musicomments. And to my liking Steve Hackett has succeed in music quality much more than any other members of Genesis, including Peter Gabriel. That's thanks to Hackett's faithful sense of romanticism and prog rock.

A beautiful piece, nicely put to great video, thanks.
I have to admit that even though I love Steve and all his early work, I don't know what album this is from - anyone?
