  • dcs, you should check into if you are eligible for social security for disabilities because you are most certainly legally retarded.

    New Corvette makes 424@flywheel, so 348 WHP assuming 18% drivetrain loss. It also has a 10.7:1 compression ratio. So, in order to get 800 WHP you would need 19 psi of boost (at least).

    10.7:1 @ 19psi on a pushrod 2-valve engine = dead engine.

    Also, the fuel concerns have not been addressed. The fuel injectors would be over 200% duty cycle to make this happen.

  • @wullu5 Agree def aint stock. I know couple of guys with over 700wHP LS3.. Its stock internals but took supercharger, Headers, cam, meth inj, fuel system, and a tune of course.. With just simple mods, supercharger, headers, meth and safe tune.. I got 610wHP which this Gensis needs only about 530wHP to keep up because of its light weight.. and I have seen quite of few gensis with over 500wHP on the internet..

    while i agree that dcs191919 dosnt know much a d1sc is more then capable of the airflow needed for 800 whp at the rear wheels however its pushing the max of the supercharger. while the engines gona be far from stock you CAN get an entire kit from procharger that includes everything you need to make that power level minus the tune so when someone is told it has the kit the think its just the supercharger if the dont know better, however the ls3 would be on borrowed time w/o internals

  • @CPUOverclocker64 dont think a engine twice the size can do it at lower boost? it depends on each engine and how it performs i know mallet was running a zr1 with 1k+ hp for bull run, and ive seen people running 427s out of the lsx block over 2k hp(the cast iron gmpp block and also the warhawk aluminum block) which 427 is 7L aka same displacement as the zo6

    ve has alot to do with it more airflow without boost means less boost pressure for the same airflow. assuming all else is the same if a 6L maxs a 70 lb turbo at 15 psi a 3L would max it at 30 psi for the same airflow hence power if the compressor maps where within the same efficiency islands and the turbine housings can flow enough to support the proper airflow to make that much boost. check out my350z.com there are people making 700hp from a 3.5L at 19 psi boost

    not to argue completely but thats not exactly true it has alot to do with what all has been done to the engine as well as what engine is in the car. the standard corvette makes 424 at the crank however with heads and a cam they are about 550(this figures in retuning as well mind you). the z06 is 505 hp stock from a 7L instead of the 6.2 used in the base corvette, again new heads and cam with tune gets more. the more you do to it the less boost you need
