@Namari12 He never said they charge customers more for different sights, he said they charge clients more. Meaning cites who cannot afford to pay for premium bandwidth would have a slower connection; he was correct with the definition. Not only can ISPs use a non-neutral internet to charge higher rates though, it also allows them to more easily manage bandwidth as Comcast did with P2P; or block/slow competing websites (cable company blocks hulu or other TV sites)

Imposing on freedom of the press and free speech, defiantly the worst president we've ever had! Thanks to all you drones for voting him in. This is all on you, everyone of you. The bright side is, your defiantly getting your shitty healthcare and your well fair. FUCK EVERYONE OF YOU PEOPLE!!!

The mere suggestion of corporatised control over the net shows two things - (a) Corporations seek to gain 'lawful' control over things which truly are 'essential services' and (b) they presently don't have it - otherwise they would not be lobbying the politicians.
Providing a profitable service via the net is totally different to controlling the net for profit. They and the GOP cry 'Market freedom' at the total expense of personal freedom and liberty. HYPOCRITES!

Um, I think that's kind of exactly what he said. Try actually listening next time.

This is kinda like the Series of Tubes speech.

*because Yahoo paid *them* a lot of money, sorry.

I'm not sure Obama has exactly the right definition of 'net neutrality'. It's not that the servers charge differently for different sites, but that they slow down or block your access to say, Google, because Yahoo paid you a lot of money. So people give up using Google because Yahoo is easier to access.
But as long as he's supporting it, we cool xD

I think Web neutrality is a great thing. Like living alcohol and drug free is a great thing too, some things arn't meant to be mandated by law. ISP should be able to choose between pledging to net neutrality or charging less by distorting download speeds and from revenue offer a lower fee. Mandating net neutrality isn't the worst thing that could happen, but I don't think it should be enforced as law.

Americans are brainwashed! Wake up! Your elected officials are puppets of the FED. Your fake media and elections are controlled by the private bankers in the Federal Reserve. A non-American entity controls everything. Take it back now! End the FED! Google it. Inform yourselves. The system is fake. Why can't you see that?

Lets hope Obama keeps up to his word. In the time Bush has been in power he's managed to cause the world to hate America lets hope Barak can change that. Isn't it amazing how well Obama can talk to the people where Bush could barley string along a sentence.
I want this issue to stay in the public discussion, because it's so very important.

I have weighed all the issues before EXCEPT net neutrality.
To my horror, John McCain sides with the big telephone companies and cable service providers!
This absolutely makes me a supporter of Barack.
It's time the American people regained their control of the government and take that control away from the corporations, whose driving goal is only money and power.
Vote for Obama!
