Negatives things that may be said to you through as you transition to healthy natural hair This the second part of the "Pit Falls" ... BUT WAS LOADED FIRST sorry (-:
You speak the truth! My mom had her hair natural for 1 week in between getting her cornrows done. She cuts her hair often and still manages to have thick BSL hair. I love her natural hair, but during that 1 week she heard just about all the comments you mentioned in this video from coworkers that were not of African descent.
Here is what has been said to me: "So you're doing the afro thing, nothing wrong with that". "What's going on with your hair"? "When your hair grows out, you can go to my hairdresser and train your hair". From a co-worker with alopecia issues, "I wear my hair cut short so the thin areas don't show as much, but I'm NOT going to wear a wig. I'll go natural before I do that!'

You had me rolling on this one. Sad, but true. All of it. People always critics what they don't understand. Pity.
