Is this a foul?

My friends can't decided whether the tackle that took place in the video was a foul. I personally believe it was because the ball doesn't change directions and the player doesn't seem to touch the ball. Let me know what you think...

By making contact with the player before contact with the ball, this becomes a foul in almost every case I can think of.

Whether it was done on purpose is irrelevant to the foul. It probably would affect whether it was misconduct.

Not tryin to be a know it all but ive been a soccer Ref for over 15 years and if you read the FIFA LAWS of THE GAME(fifarulebook) A player has to make contact with the ball before he or she makes contact with the other player and you can see the guy that trys to steal the ball kicks the dribbler on the outside of the leg then pokes the ball through SO yes its a foul Direct kick to the guy in the jeans or P>K inside the 18 or Jack shit in the street:)

I'd say he was tripped carelessly, also notice the red player gets the ball with the right but trips with the left. Careless at the least.

well it was on purpose, and obviously the red guy wasn't going for the ball. though the black guy fell as some say "like a pussy" it really was a foul. quite small but still a foul!!!
