This Dune Buggy, or Dooms Buggy, was 100% custom built. Not the best job, but for some 18 year olds at the time I think it is pretty good. We bought the piping in 20 foot sections, cut them down to the size we needed and started building. We got the motorcycle for free, and decided to use the motor for the Dune Buggy. Every part right down to the axles that we lathed, threaded and keyed were custom built. Not lying. The only parts that we did not make were the engine, front a-arms, wheels, rack and pinion that we got from a geo and the lights. Everything else was custom made! We are selling it, so if interested let me know. We are going to make a 1 seater next time which would be way lighter then this machine. I had the pedal pinned at the top of 3rd gear when I hit this jump every time! I wanted to get into at least 4th if not 5th but it would not get up there in the amount of straight away I had. I know I probably would of rolled it at that speed, but I kinda wanted to, to see what it was made of and to see if it could take it. Kinda stupid, I know. But with a full roll cage made like a tank, a four-point harness and a helmet, I think it would be just fine!

  • i think u need a new ramp lol...

  • Yeah I know. Every time I hit the jump/pile of dirt, the front end of the buggy would hit before the wheels did, throwing dirt all over the place. We car selling this buggy for like $500 as is, so if you want it let me know.

  • 1:14 Were'd it go! XD

  • LOL, Yeah, there was a lot of dirt! It sucks getting dirt in your mouth, but it was fun!

  • To bad the freont end wasnt a little longer and the wheels a bit bigger would have been perfect then. Other than that great job .
