  • i heard the staircase is not actually technically accurate being slightly larger in the film than it was in real life!!

  • @partygirl209 The staircase was made larger for the movie because people these day are bigger and by that i just mean we are taller and wider built than most people were in 1912 and so when you see old buildings everything seems to be scaled down including the door ways and all. that's because they were ever so slightly smaller and so if they built the grand staircase accurate then it would look to small compared to the people, but really they only added on 8inches which is just over half 1 foot

  • this is one of the most heartbreaking scenes, also what's sad is the mom tucking her children into bed so they'll die in their sleep and telling them what heaven will be like

  • @peopledick Seriously? Who the FUCK would watch your damn video. So disrespectful, you dirty bastard.

  • How is it that in the exterior shots the water is no were near over the top , yet the dome still smashes...Lol :P no but realy i do LOVE titanic. (the true story)

  • even when the grand staircase is being flooded by water, you just can't take away it's elegance

  • que trageria

  • it didnt make sense the water coming through the dome because the water was not up to that point there yet. glass was not very strong back then haha

  • Those extras almost died in real life. The staircase was constructed in the same way the original staircase was which means it was held in place primarily by it's own weight. When the set was flooded, the staircase ripped from its foundation and almost crushed the extras against the ceiling and the railing above it. They cut that part out of course. They believe that it what happened to the original staircase as well.

  • @clctitanic On top of that it was probably done to fit all that camera, lighting and other filming equipment.

  • @sacramentolove Ok, ok, chill.
