  • A person has to take a stand where they are comfortable. A 22 cal is just as deadly as a 50 cal slug if placed properly.

  • @blevins923 I agree.

  • 9mm you can shoot well beats a .44 magnum that you can just barely fire. Keltec 9mm, do they high capacity magazines?

  • @NUKETOMIC 12 round mags.

  • I think its funny how some people think you need the biggest round and most expensive guns out there in order to stop a threat . My father in law is an ex Tampa cop , and says that back when the little pos Jennings and , raven .22lr and .25acp's came out they were getting the job done 2 to 3 times a week . Said they conf to many of those small caliber guns and they were killing people left and right . If a .22lr and a .25acp will kill at close range im sure anything bigger would do the same

  • @Proedge352 Thanks for your input, much appreciated!

  • I would even carry a .22 LR more power doesn't mean better anyone that knows what there doing will know

  • The 9mm and the .380 is the same diameter. Well, within .01 mm of eachother. Both of them are .355 of an inch. Just like the 357 Magnum and the .38 Special are the same caliber .357 of an inch or 9.1mm. All of the above is a 9mm slug of some sort, if its .355 or .357. Just different ballistics. Im no expert on firearms, but I have had experience in handguns from .22 to 500 Smith, my choice for self defense is a 9mm. Due to very high capacity, cheaper practice, light recoil, fast follow up shots.

  • @isamtator Sorry I worded it incorrectly, but a 9mm round is the same caliber size as a 9mm. Just the 9mm has a larger casing, a much heavier round and has a greater working pressure making the 9mm greater. But to get back to what we were almond about. A 45 is about a 12mm size making it only two mm larger than a .40 and 3mm larger then a 9mm. But a 9mm doesn't even come close to comparing to a .45acp

  • Dude you sound like the Duke.

  • @SSshane6d9 A 380 is not larger than the 9mm luger, it is smaller than the 9mm luger, and the 9mm luger is smaller than the .357 magnum. Ruger makes a revolver that can fire .357, 38 special, and 9mm luger. Get the facts right.

  • @SSshane6d9 No it is not, a 380 is smaller in diameter, than a 9mm luger. .357 magnum is 357 100ths of an inch, 38 special is .356, and the 9mm luger is .356. The 380 is .355100ths. The 380 is smaller and shorter than the 9mm luger, and the 9mm luger is smaller than the .357 magnum. Where did you get that Information from? Its wrong, and wow.

  • a 9mm is a great option. regardless of what caliber you use shot placement is ALWAYS CRITICAL.
