This banjo is to be raffled off in support of the banjohangout dot org, so I thought I'd do a quick demo! gCGCD

  • I do love this tune .. Thanks for adding this .. Hope Your feel better .. All the best , guy

  • Thanks--I'm back to 100% (after sextuple bypass surgery in June)! A Little behind in things, but catching up...

  • You look sad.

  • No, not sad, but when I play I sorta step back and listen, so I frequently end up with a dead pan appearance. Don't mean to, but it happens!

  • Do you know any way I could learn to frail. I've been trying to learn, but I have nothing to learn with. I can't find a good teacher on youtube. Could you help with a frailing instructional video??

  • I pointed you to the instructional videos on my website in another response; I'm pretty sure you saw that, but, just in case:

zeppmusic then dot then com. Look for the "Clearhead(TM)Instructional Videos" link!

    Cheers.

  • If you do look sad, as some say you do, well, it's no wonder, with an audience like us.

  • As a fellow banjoist, I really appreciate how little you need to look at the fretboard to see where your fingers need to move next. I sometimes practice with my eyes shut, but the results are not that impressive, and I go right back to playing by sight. Thanks for demonstrating the correct way to playing the 5-string.

  • Zepp, This is the banjo I bought! :) I'm trying to learn it and I think I am doing pretty good so far! I really enjoy being able to see your right hand :)

  • Lovely playing and banjo!

  • If you see any photos or films of old-time (or Irish) musicians from 100 years ago, they usually have expressionless faces.
