EasyJet Airline Company Limited (styled as easyJet) is a British airline headquartered at London Luton Airport, UK. It carries more passengers than any other United Kingdom-based airline, operating domestic and international scheduled services on 520 routes between 118 European, North African, and West Asian airports. The parent company, EasyJet plc, is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: EZJ) and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. As at 30 September 2009, it employed 6,666 people, based throughout Europe but mainly in the UK.

EasyJet has seen rapid expansion since its establishment in 1995, having grown through a combination of acquisitions[4][5] and base openings fuelled by consumer demand for low-cost air travel. The airline, along with franchise airline EasyJet Switzerland, now operates over 180 aircraft,[6] mostly Airbus A319. It has 20 bases across Europe, the most important one being London-Gatwick. In 2009, EasyJet carried 45.2 million passengers and is second-largest low-cost carrier in Europe, beaten only by Ryanair, an Irish-based low-cost airline with substantial UK operations, which carried some 58.6 million passengers in the same period.

EasyJet was featured in Airline series broadcast on ITV which followed the airline's operations at its home base in London Luton and later at a number of other bases. EasyJet's founder, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, was featured heavily in the series.

Great vid!!! I can't believe Easyjet were beaten by Ryanair by so little passengers. Easyjet rule!!!!!!! Ryanair only hav cheap flights cause the company is broke and they won't get much passengers with dear flights. I'm 12 and I no everything about planes. :)

@tomboylolz97 and alsoHigh cost have fewer planes running (e.g a few a day) low cost keep their planes on the go 24 hours a day this is how they keep their costs low :D

@tomboylolz97 you obviously dont because you should know that even if they are a low cost airline, take easyjet and ryanair as example.... and BA and Virgin....

ryanair and easyjet are low cost

and BA and virgin are alot more expensive if you know anything about the airline industry it is seperated in 2 different techniques Low cost (Ryr and Ezy) or High cost (BA and VIR) low vs high are just 2 different techniques its barely anything to do with money or if they are going broke.
