This is a story about one of my favorite fireworks. When pricing fireworks such as the Thunder King from one supplier to another, keep in mind my video comparison. All Thunder Kings are not created equal. Some fireworks distributors evidently have decided to make fireworks smaller in an effort to keep prices down. I personally would rather pay more money and get good, loud, high quality fireworks. Not everyone may feel this way. Some may say it is loud enough or the colors are good enough. My advice is to bite the bullet and pay more for the fireworks and get good quality product. Ask your fireworks distributor to keep good quality fireworks and be willing to pay a little more for them. When I compare fireworks and prices I have a few reference items I always look at. For quality I always examine the Thunder King, for pricing I always price the 16k firecrackers and I make a judgment from there. The Thunder King should be loud and well constructed. The 16k firecrackers should be between $50 and $55. I know it is not scientific but it is my way to quickly evaluate display and consumer fireworks categories. Do you have a comment on quality and pricing please feel free to do so. Please do not mention the suppliers of the fireworks I am demonstrating I did this video as a learning tool when buying fireworks and it can be applied to any distributor.

  • Here in Texas they are now putting a Explosive weight tax for every pound you buy it is .05 added to your bill and there is normal tax and firearm tax witch all to get is $.35 for every dollar you spend "usually"

  • @djaaron23 Thanks for telling us that information about Texas. My guess is other states will soon follow as they try to balance their budgets. These Politicians comes up with the wildest ways to make tax money.

  • They changed the Thunder King here in Norway, no more lighting ball of loud boom, just sparkly stuff :/

  • Here in the uk, we can buy 1.3G 25 shot thunderkings for £7.50.

  • Hello, I appear am a Franc, am of chili and adore the fireworks, but the problem is that in chili illegal to domiciliary level, the question is you can support or give some idea to be able to legalize the fireworks us (already envie a message to the government but they do not rest, please help me it is very important that in chili this is respected.) being grateful for his help and comprehension. Franc Pd: please help us.

  • thumbs if you came here for the fire works firing

  • go for KABBOEM to 4:04

  • i was thinking the small one is a thunder king cake (basically 25shots of those single shot ones they sell) and the bigger one is like a 1" salute cake or something. I dont have a 1.3license or anything but that is just my thought and if i could choose the bigger one seems to be the better deal.

  • wow those things are dirt cheap

  • yeah i noticed that some firework companies (phantom fireworks) makes things smaller and lie about assortments i saw a display that an assortment cost 120 bucks and came with 932 pieces but they made some of the cakes look real big but when i got this assortment they sorta pissed me of im thinking of going some where elese when i want some good quality products, also whats up with jumping jacks the packs get smaller and most of the jacks dont ignite i think its bull

  • @displayfireworks1 its hard to put tax on things that are sold illegally.

and to the guy who said they are 1.4g that is inaccurate because 1.4g is consumer grade. thunder kings are 1.3G (class b) display grade. i used to get thunder kings aloung with my salutes. i wont talk about were i got them or anything but that is a 1.3g firework that cant be sold commercially.

just an fyi correct me if im wrong im not here to start an argument.

  • @displayfireworks1 All they do is hurt the economy still further. Speaking of balancing budgets.... In Kansas, I never recieved an unemployment check but was taxed for it at the end of the year AND, they owe me 400.00 tax return???? Never got THAT either.... I'm living and working in Texas now. No state tax but property taxes are pretty darned oppressive... and the fuckers are STILL broke, but we won't go there.... They downsized jumping jacks and ground bloom flowers too... very sad....
