This is a video clip of Slayer performing the classic Hell Awaits song "Praise of Death," live at the Stone in San Francisco, 1986. This was one of the earlier 86 shows which features Dave Lombardo on the drums rather than TJ Scaglione. While this video may be a grainy one, it still serves to accurately depict Slayer in their prime.

Ah yes, I remember that crazy f'ing pit!!! Crayzzzeeeee!!! I was 15 and star struck even in that little club on Broadway!! Slayer's Show No Mercy was way ahead of it's time back then, Hell Awaits, beautiful!. "This ones for you Toby Rage, who lives...In Praise.. Of Death!!!"

i was a the show at the el dorado saloon,cant remember if it was the night before or after..fuckin raging..wish i was at this one,sf went off back in the day..old thrash days were awesome as fuck..saw slayer at the stone on the south of heaven show,rad shit..slayer in a club in the 80s was an experience im glad to have had a few times
