The end result of the conductors collegium this summer. With myself conducting the North Texas Wind Symphony. The only huge mistake was when the percussion didn't take my huge cue at the end of the first movement.

  • I didn't realize there was supposed to be percussion, when you cued, at the end of the first movement. Was it added?

  • @b286guy It was added in with Eugene Corporon's suggestion. It being added hopefully explains why they missed my huge cue for the same thing that second time through.

  • what's the name of the piece? thanks for sharing!

  • @justinslack50 I think that must explain it, because your cue was very clear. I can imagine there's a sense of embarrassment for a conductor when you gesture like that, and then you get silence in return. Ultimately, they made a mistake, which happens to some degree or another in every live performance. This was still really well done, so hopefully you're continuing to put your podium talents to use.

  • I'd play in your orchestra any day!

  • Impressive conductor!

  • Wow, this guy is really sharp!
