Mumbai siege suspect a US double agent?

Indian authorities suspect David Headley, the Chicago man arrested and charged by the U.S. in connection with the Mumbai terrorist seige that killed more than 150 people last year, could have
been a CIA double agent. Is there credible evidence to support this theory? Could U.S. intelligence have known about plans for the Mumbai
attack? And what does this mean to relations between New Delhi and Washington D.C.?

He wasn't working as a CIA double agent. He was working with the DEA. He infiltrated the USA government as a DEA agent and that allowed him to travel the globe without suspicion. Its an obvious scenario that is easily overlooked by the people wanting to assume the worst about the US government. There is no reason or motivation for the USA to attack India.

I am a Pakistani and would admit that religious extremism is a problem in my country but mainstream channels usually don't remind the masses about who funded the so-called Mujahideens back in 1980s in order to fight USSR.It was CIA.

And after 26/11 and the arrest of David Headley,one can easily wonder whether CIA has got links,contacts and coordinations or perhaps agents among ISI and RAW as well, apart from Mosad and MI5.
