a 3D movie of the kinetic horse kit from

http://www.clockworkrobot.com

The 3D illusion is created by looking at the right image with your left and and the left image with your right. With practice you can do this freestyle but a small wedge prism makes it even easier.

A kit version of the kinetic horse is now available for you to own. Follow the link for details:

Instructions for making a set of 3D glasses that may assist you in viewing x-eye 3d movies are also available for free here:

  • Thanks. I just figured out the 3D rendering mode before I got your reply. I am happy they store the raw 3d and its not a hard-coded version of 3d in the actual video. This leaves future rendering possibilities wide open. I am curious though why I can't find any information in the upload section about how to upload or prepare 3D videos of my own...

  • @xapplimatic quick and dirty method: upload an x-eye vid and add this to your TAGS:

    yt3d:enable=true

there are a few more buttons and switches.Search the forums for "yt3d".

  • What is this song/band? fantastic videos by the way, you are making some amazing stuff

  • @SuperJewbot The Octopus Project. go google them and check out their web page. You won't regret it.

  • does anyone know how to do the parallel method? because i can't help feeling that doing cross-eye is bad for my eyes

  • @xapplimatic It is cross eye. You've just selected the wrong render mode from the youtube menue. Explore a little and you'll find you can view the video in multiple 3D formats.

  • @MarbleMad

Cool dude. But still it is noc cross eye :)
