  • Why do these silly people continue to persist in their use of the argumentum ad populum? Do they REALLY believe that Truth is relative to the will of the majority? Sorry, Jamie, but statistics about what American Catholics believe are irrelevant. They say nothing about Truth.

  • @gladiator3543 Amen. The fools who believe that the Church ought to be a democracy are part of what's wrong with the Church today, and Manson seems to be a prime example of this. Appealing to what "the majority of American Catholics" believe or don't believe says nothing AT ALL about the Truth itself. It only speaks of the ignorance of American Catholics.

  • You seem to forget the teaching of the Catholic church isn't decided by votes and democracy, it is base don Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture and authoritatively set forth by the Pope, not what a majority of americans happened to think to do in the 21st century. You should read the Catechsim before speaking, and learn your faith, we pass on what we receive, we don't invent it our mould the faith to suit our tastes.

  • 46% of Catholics voted AGAINST Porp 8 in California in 2008.

  • Could you please sight the source of your "74%' of Catholics supporting

    gay marriage?

  • I can't imagine a more egregious form of discrimination than to deny

a group of people the right to marry. It's like saying "you do not belong

    in society at all."
