Brian Dunn, who is celebrating 25 years working for Best Buy, has been the CEO for a little over a year. And it's been a tough year -- not only economically for our customers, but inside the Company where challenge and change are constant companions. And in this wide-ranging interview, Brian holds himself accountable. When asked about his personal reason for being in the role and acknowledging his "man of the people" reputation, Brian answers "I don't think my job is about pleasing the people as much as it is about perpetuating the enterprise and creating environments where people can do their best work. And sometimes, that's tough stuff." It's also been an immensely rewarding year: "I really love the responsibility, I love the honor of leading this organization...this enterprise is the best manifestation of the American Dream -- which I really think now has become a Global Dream."
Been with the company for well over 3 years, and I am inlove with working there. I've had my ups and downs with it. Somedays I want to walk....but my management keeps me there. They help me through everything and I feel like my opinions are valued.
