I used Adobe After Effects CS3 and NO plug ins.

that sound effect in the description did NOT sound like the one in the video, it didn't even sound like lighnting.. i wonder if something went wrong

I see first u motioned tracked all your fingers to a null (guess) and set the lightning to follow the null object Awesome!
