How are we expected to take measurements using a caliper?

Rate 4 stars for effort, but it needs to be re-done with better camera work.
1. Need a better shot from the rear for the rear measurement.
2. No one has a caliper, and it needs to have a shot from the top.
I commend the effort!

All a caliper is is two right angles that slide against each other. You could cut two pieces of cardboard at right angles and make your own. Art supplies and hardware stores also sell calipers.
