Utterly brilliant: some of the best coming timing I've seen, script or no script. What a formidable couple he and the wonderful Coral Browne made, although thank God Dean Martin didn't know about her. The roastings would then have taken on a new dimension of bitchiness, without any need for a script.

I envy the folks during the 1940s who got to see Vincent Price starring in the play "Angel Street" (later retitled "Gaslight) on Broadway. He played every performance over 3 years. 20th Century-Fox wanted him to do the American film version, but Fox lost the rights to M-G-M. Fox's "Dragonwyck" was considered their way of getting film audiences to see him in a similar role. As you can see, he was brilliant at comedy. Catch him in "Champagne for Caesar" with Ronald Colman and Celeste Holm.
