  • You have the basic idea down. During the (strum) transition edge only plays, down up up, down up up. Then begins the main strum, usually: down strum, lift ring finger, down strum put ring finger down, down strum, lift finger, strum up stum down, put finger down (stum up) (emphasis), lift finger, down strum up strum, finger down, down strum up strum down strum up strum. You can also emphasis on other strums as you see fit. It is also important to have emphasis on the e string on intro picking
