I was asked to do a review on the external hard disk I've been using and I actually still have the original box this came in. (Yes I know, I'm sad!! lol)

I have the same LaCie mobile disk of 250GB and it is not working .I used this for 6 months but now when I plug it with my laptop , an option appears which says FORMAT DISK . But i don't want to format it because I got some data in the mobile disk and when I open it then it says that THE LOCATION IS NOT AVAILABLE and "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

If you know about this problem , then please inform me as soon as possible.
