  • The best, most emotional, dramatic action soundtrack music ever. I saw this movie as a small kid (not to mention having seen it again hundreds of times since) and just hearing those notes stirs the blood like nothing else.

    RIP John Barry.

  • RIP John you are now up there with the best Rachmaninov

  • Steady lads , steady .

  • Damn......this is glorious

  • chrisM33 What a shame, I didn't know that.My cousin used to live next door to him in Wimbledon and wash his Rolls Royce in Bob-a-Job week. He was a lovely man, a fine actor and a very proud Welshman. Richard Burton was a personal friend of his, hence the narration.

  • @valmblackwood I believe mate that he never knew he had the REAL medal while he was alive, after he died his wife did some more research and found out it was the real one, sad he never knew

  • @thesoulcrew1 But Hook was nothing like that in real life

  • I remember when i joined thr Royal Engineers and they lined us up in the camp cinema and MADE us watch this, at the time i hadn`t got a clue about it but now..........and this was 92, i still make young sappers watch this and they all love it.

Got to know your Corps history

  • @RickTransit Zulu has been my favourite film since I first saw it as a child some 40 years ago. Great stuff.

  • valmblackwood, sorry to say John did not get an oscar for this score, i wish he had....his first two where for `Born Free`

  • The empire was quite busy at the time, in Kabul Afghanistan etc another stirring defence but I doubt any movie will be made of it. Chelmsford was a dazzlingly intelligent commander compared with Tony Bliar, who should have known better with all the previous experience of former (and better) men. OK to snipe: there's a lot more numpties per square metre now then they had to answer for incompetence. Now, they go on a chat show and say they were misunderstood. If we won then why all the Zulus here?
