My Nephrotic syndrome story

Hi everyone!
I'm a 16-year-old girl and suffering from nephrotic syndrome since last year, It's not a disease on itself, it's caused by other things, there isn't a cure for. I relapsed a couple of times now and I've had a biopsy done in June 2011, I feel so ugly when I have NS again, I gain 15 kilo/ 33 pound, then they give me a high dose of prednisone and diuretics so I'm losing it again plus I can't put on make-up because my eyes are swollen, that makes it VERY hard. there are some pics in the video where I look normal, but you can figuere them out :)

Hi, I was diagnosed with NS at age 2, I am now 16. I know exactly what your going through. Keep strong. Prednisone is a jerk but you are STRONG.

My daughter Olivia she is 16 was diagnosed 4 days ago with NS..I'm still in shock.We hope u are doing well..back to childrens hospital in a few hours- more tests..god bless u

why do u relapse so often?... i havent relapsed in over 11yrs... now youve got me paranoid

I'm considered semi-cured but I had it for about 20 years. I could give some of the hormones involved but I don't want to bore you.

hey i was diagnosed with NS at 9 months and now 16 nearly 17, theres a group on fb about raisiing awarenes about childhood ns i joined it yesterday and already feel less alone :) ill send you a link if you want? and you can always talk to me about it if you want xx

It says nephrotic syndromes... what type are they? I have MPGN2
