Take a peek behind the scenes of Baz Luhrmann's movie Australia, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. Set in 1940s Australia, the film is being shot on location in Bowen, Queensland. Highlights of this video include the landmark Bowenwood sign, stars going through their paces, and the much-anticipated droving scene in which hundreds of shorthorn cattle stampede through the streets.

  • australian tourist move with not one murderess theiving convict female in sight & where all men would rather brred with Englishwomen of Aboriginal women. The only thing missing is Cold Chisels Khe Sahn. A source of pride for Sheiladom no doubt. So what does Australia do? Hide the dumb-brainles.-shielas for shame when the tourists arrive? *laughable*

  • I did like this movie, though it's typically Hollywood with the happy end. But I like the young actor, Brandon Walters - Nullah. I think he was the essence of the movie making, his voice throughout the movie, and his acting was a big plus for this movie.

  • I think some people get the perception that Australia doesn't make good films because they don't understand or empathize with the sentiments or humour behind them. I agree with you, there is no standard for films based on where they are made. Leave wankers like them alone, they just don't know how to be open-minded and objective when they're judging.

  • I'm Australian....And i dont think Australian films are bad..not because im biased but because im sick of watching ballshit Hollywood films...

    xx

  • This movie was REALLY good!

  • No, I'm not a film critic... I don't claim to be, nor do I claim that a film is bad or good.

  • and I suppose your a film critic? Not saying whether a film is good or bad depending on budgets, I just think there are many talented directors, writers and actors in Australia, but we have a habit of always picking the safe choice. Try getting funding for a film then you will understand the frustration.

  • Then you have absolutely no idea on good films. Some of the best films are made on low budgets. Australian film is often better than most of the bullshit Hollywood produces nowadays. However, a good film is not decided on where it is made. There are equally as amazing films from Hollywood as there are Australia, and that's the same from any other country and film producing company.

  • I saw Hugh Jackman!!!

  • Adoro questo film è stato meraviglioso il modo in cui è stato interpretato... una storia epica quanto grandiosa il territorio in cui è stata girata, l'australia!
