Your disdain for God's Word is clear. I won't pursue this with any further. Theres no point. Whatever I say will and has fallen on deaf ears and you're not receptive at all to spiritual matters because of a hardened heart. But always remember when you are ready, God will be there for you waiting with open arms.

@lotanddaughters It must have been missing Exodus 21 as well, because that gives a FAR less ambiguous definition of slavery. The verses Laura quoted just say that if you can't afford to give your slaves as a tithe, you can pay the equivalent amount instead to demonstrate an intent to give an offering, and get a conditional blessing rather than an the up-front blessing you'd receive from offering your slaves.

Yeah i can agree with that comment. The bible seems more like it was written with a satanic character as god rather than a loving father. I suppose at the time that must have seemed like a loving father for the people it was intended for (people who hated everyone else)

You can't just follow the 10 commandments and ignore the rest of what you're following. Its the same God who condones slavery, homophobic murder and many other disgraces. You can't pick and choose what you like about Christianity and ignore the rest. Yes there is something bigger than us, but its called the Universe, not God.

How great would your cities be or the world for that matter if everyone just followed the 10 commandments. Just get rid of the greed, gluttony, sloth, lies, killing, adultery. Would that really be such a horrible thing? Would it really be horrible for people to respect their neighbors? Excuse us for thinking something is bigger than us. I look at the miracle of life and SOmething I don't understand because I'm not brilliant had to create me and my environment. It's too big and complicated.

I don't know you. I can't see you or hear your voice. All I can see is words on a page. So I wasn't sure if it was a joke. People believe alot of strange things. You never know if they are really serious or not. Especially here on YouTube.
