COMING SOON to America!

Hyundai Tucson, upon its commencement, JD Powers ranked it the Highest Quality All New Vehicle in 2005, then named it Number ONE in its segment the following year

Now comes the second generation for the Tucson (just unveiled officially at the 2009 L.A. Auto Show), today, in what could be the fastest growing segment in the automotive industry, the small cross-over SUV (which some say is reminiscent of the Lexus RX styled SUV) Tucson boasts an even more modern and sporty, more spacious interior and available on the Limited model, Hyundai's first-ever panoramic sunroof! What's driving people to small crossovers is obvious. People concerned about fuel efficiency will be pleased to know, thanks to the new THETA II 2.4lt 4cyl power plant (developed by Hyundai Research Center, which has been designing engines for Mercedes if this gives you any clue, and four years in the making, the new engine has the power of the previous V6 but at 20% fuel efficiency over its predecessor) in the new Tucson rings in at an impressive 31 MPG! As with the new Sonata, the all new Tucson introduces the new 6 Speed Automatic which is more compact and lighter (having 56 fewer parts), and is one of the many incredible new innovations as well as a generous list of features... and considering pricing starts at under $20K, smart shoppers will find all impossible to ignore. If youre thinking about a new vehicle that looks great, is versatile and affordable, and boasts state of the art engineering consider holding out just a little longer

  • @0932486509 says China-man who doesn't even produce any decent cars

  • this is a HYUNDAI people!! A HYUNDAI!!! This car company is trying desperately to appear as established as Honda, Toyota and now BMW. If you read the reviews you will realize these cars are not anywhere near at par with their rivals. Look at KIA and their knock of CIVIC model....TOTAL FAIL!! You can pretend its a civic but drive it and you bloody well know it aint a CIVIC. Now these clowns want to rival BMW and MERCEDES?? OMFG!!!

  • @0932486509 And if it's just as much as the leading brands, then what on earth would possess you to choose the knock off IF IT'S THE SAME PRICE??

  • All Korean cars are shit. The only reason anyone would want to own such cheap crap is because they have no aspirations, or money or sense. Germans and Japanese are way better engineers. If quality is really what you're after, then why go with knock off brands??? This is why you are contradicting yourselves. Labor is just as expensive in Korea as it is with better brands, but you pay less because IT'S CRAP!

  • @blphnx I felt bumps on San Diego freeways that I don't even feel in my 2001 Elantra... granted I understand they are completely different, but I shouldn't be bounced around in a vehicle driving 65 on a freeway. for specifics, the drive was on the I-5 northbound National City toward Downtown area.

  • @blphnx wow, well said... that's right, the new Tucson has a stiffer suspension, designed for better responsiveness and handling, completely sport tuned, the previous version gave up 'fun' for 'comfort'. Visability is different, but not worse, just takes adjusting with any new car. If you broke it down, you would see this new Tucson is superior to before. btw... you can't top this... other consumers rate this model 9.2 out of 62 reviews (search Edmunds review 2010 Tucson)

  • @interpim1 - I understand your feeling but I can explain I think. I've driven both models as well and what I noticed is certainly different is the handling... the previous model had a softer looser feel, which would explain your bumps, you must live in an area with a lot of bumps I take it... the newer model has been sport tuned, it has tighter shocks and much more superior responsiveness and handling, making this more of a sport car than an all terrain vehicle.

  • I was given one of these by the dealer as a loaner over the past couple of days... It was horrible. I have a 2006 Tucson Limited that far outdoes the new model. The 2010 has horrible suspension, I felt every bump in the road. Also, the visibility from inside the vehicle was horrible, I didn't feel safe changing lanes in this car with the limited field of view and the gigantic blind spots.

  • @tsunami86 Im not sure if the deisel version will be out in america but gasoline should give you more tourqe awhich makes it more exciting. also gasoline cunsumption on this is like a car. 2.4 ltr egine. 176hp 168 lb-ft of tourqe with six gears transmission.

  • @NiMNice Hey got one too a month ago and I love it.
