The programm is WDR, which stands for Westdeutscherrundfunk, which is mostly watched by people in Northrhinewestfalia. Many people here have polish urges. Specally in the Ruhrarea, there live alot of polish immigrants.
This is satiric and somewhat ironic.

omg vodka& gherkins aka typical props of a polish family. it seems it's so easy to satisfy lowest instincts of a narrow-minded germany nowadays :> btw why there's no similar show on polish tv - the one portraying the average life of a teutonic schmidt family, i don't get it.
