@RenNaara I'm sorry, that was a blanket statement. It's just that I feel localization kills a lot of the emotion and meaning that is supposed to come through the voice acting: accents, jokes, names, etc.

@JIYkp English dubs DONOT suck. have you ever seen BECK or Nerima Daikon Brothers? Those anime are actually better in english. Your statement should have been more like "Some old dubs suck, especialy 4kids and Disney" or somthing like that. I do admit that the honey and clover dub could have been better, but there are other very good ones. Like XxxHOLiC, Air TV, Fullmetal Alchemist, Clannad, NANA, Monster, ect.

That was pretty funny.
And when you dub over anime with actual actors from a movie, you begin to realize how much effort voice actors have to put in to get the emotion they are portraying across. That's why English dubs suck, they can't afford the good ones at Disney.
