If the one comming down is a true storm flag it is 5ft by 91/2 feet the Garrison flag which is what I believe flies at Ft. Mc'Henry is a20 by 38 and you have to have three stong men and a boy to hoist it on a windy day. I will always remember having the honour detail as a recruit at Parris Island and seeing the Garrison Flag go up Sunday Moning as the MCRD Parris Island Band played The Star Spangled Banner. Made boot camp worth it all just to get to see and hear that.
The most awesome thing we've ever done! It was an Honor to participate. The size of the Flag is unbelievable, and to see it waving sent chills down my spine!
