Temple University played in its first football bowl game in 30 years on Dec. 29, 2009 -- and one southern New Jersey alum hosted a party for Owls fans, that included pieces of his own collegiate days. Press of Atlantic City digital reporter Dan Good visits Gregory's Restaurant and Bar in Somers Point, Atlantic County -- to find out what the EagleBank Bowl means for Temple fans, and what the world was like when the Owls last played in a bowl game.

  • this is what is wrong with a lot of Temple fans. When the school needs them the most, they prefer to sit home and watch the game on TV. Think this guy could have actually got off his ass and drove 2 hours down to his school's first game in 30 years? Would that have been too much to ask?

    If all the TU fans who watched on TV got off their ass and gone to D.C., there would have been 40,000 Temple fans and not 20,000. What a statement that would have been. ...
