This is my XB coupe that got dyno tuned last week. It is a 393 Clevo with 2V AFD heads, still running 2V valves, 950 ultra HP Holley, and is still running a solid flat tappet Comp Cam. It consistantly produced 317 RWKW / 425.1 RWHP and made a higest reading of 320 RWHP / 429 RWHP. It also produced 1126 NM of torque !!! In the end it still did not reached its peak as we were having fuel delivery problems (carb running out of fuel at 6700 RPM) and causing a lean missfire at 6750 RPM, and we had another 500 RPM left. A Comp Cam solid roller and a 1050 dominator is comming up soon with the heads being sent to Trick and Manswetto shortly for porting at the same time. Thanks to DJR Performance in Taree for the great work on tuning the beast. She runs a c4 transmission and 4000 RPM stall and a Detroit Locker diff with 4:11 gears and 35 spline Strange axels, with the calculated loss of power through the powertrain, we GUESS around 600HP at the fly WITH 2V HEADS.

  • True...and no i cant be 100 % sure...but thats what i payed them for. But on the other hand if you see the other video of me going down the quarter, it doesnt hook up until a 3rd of the way down the track, so really it had 2 3rds of the track to get to 114mph. With the 4.11 gears, its top speed is only 8-10 MPH away. I have another shot on the 3rd of oct....on street tyres again, see what happens.

  • Thanks very much....October 3rd is the next time she's out. Unfortunatly i will be on street tyres again. I have just purchased a new set of front running rims, but still need the tyres. By the sounds of it you will be at Eastern Creek also on the 3rd ? I dont want it to run into the 10's because of the changes i will have to do with the car.

  • I want it to run in the 11's. I want to be in the Super Street class.

  • I heard this beast hit the track, how did it go?

  • @GT9302 With street tyres and in full street trim, i only got 2 runs due to bad weather, she ran a 12.6 @114 mph. I got a high MPH once she hooked up...i could not get it off the line. Some slicks are in order. I have some in car footage of it, ill upload it now,and as you can hear its all revs and no go, in the end i had to take my foot off the pedal and then back on again so it can hook up.

  • @thunderooo What was the other run? Was it a high or low 114mph? Some sticky tyres will help but you are looking for at least another 10mph if the dyno is accurate.

  • @GT9302 1st run was a 12.6 @105.43 MPH with some wild axel tramp most of the way.......2nd run which was posted in the video was a 14.0 @ 113.28 MPH.......she only has another 10 KPH in her as her top speed is only 195 KPH with the 4.11's in her.

  • @thunderooo How did it go on the 3rd mate?

  • @thunderooo Lack of traction generally will not knock your mph figure around to much, just your ET. I generally find my ET can vary by nearly 2 seconds on streeties depending on track prep, but my mph stays close.

  • 114mph??????????? Not high enough for that much horsepower! Are you sure the dyno was correct? They are easy to fudge up. Just put the temp sensor in the wrong spot ETC ETC

  • @thunderooo Would love to come out on the 3rd but Rob K's invitation must have got lost in the mail...;) You will not have to change anything to run a 10, they will just ask you to leave if you do so (or to put your street stockies on).

  • @thunderooo It should run 11's quite easily . It should actually run high 10's comfortably with the combo you have & if the dyno figures are accurate. Good luck next time out. :)

  • @thunderooo 195km is around 6500 in top gear, if you are running tyres that are 26 inches tall. What do you want to get your ET down to?
