Edinburgh Napier's Forest Products Research Institute supports world-class innovation within the forest industry and promotes high value timber applications particularly within the engineering and construction sectors.

Our work ranges from the practical to cutting edge scientific. From the timber engineering requirements of the construction industry and the application of wood science and technology into the conventional forest products industries (sawmilling, pulp and paper etc) -- through to the manufacture of advanced, high performance materials from cellulose nano-fibres.

We are keen to build strong, long-term relationships with industrial and academic partners interested in timber or timber-based products. FPRI will work with you and, where relevant, appropriate external funding bodies on new development work that will enhance your profits, range of services and products.
