Me doing a flying armlock/bar.

Note: This is not a streetfight trick, it is show. Do not waste your time saying it does not work in real-life. If you train hard enough you can make everything work.

People keep asking how to do it. Here is a short description on how to:

You should start with practicing 'stepping upon your partner'. This is easier if your partner has his legs bent. It is very important that your partner can hold your full weight in order to practice this, otherwise you will most likely fall like a brick. When you jump/step upon your partners leg, you must use your right arm to hold him, and your left arm to give a push (on his right shoulder) to gain some extra hight. When you reach your dead point (when you feel you begin to move downwards), you must grab around your partners head. This makes it a lot easier to steer. While moving towards the ground, you most keep your partner on a as close as possible distance, and role over your right shoulder (like a judoroll in the air). Push with your right foot to disbalance your partner while moving downwards. In the beginning your partner will often has to guide you towards the ground instead of you smacking him on the floor.

If you have all these things under control, the throwlike armlock will feel 'good'. It is very important to perform it smooth, to grab his head, and to have your bud near his shoulder.

Begin and end how you like, be creative.

  • You know usually after people punch they take their arm back...

  • I know, but at the time I thought this looks cool.

  • It does look damn cool, but you might need the reflexes of a god to pull this off in a fight when a guy is boxing you lol

  • I would only try this from grappling positions in a competition, and I would never use it in a streetfight.

  • What would you recommend more for street fight? Keep it standing or go for take downs? Provided it's one on one

  • Depends on if it is a trained fighter or an untrained guy. And I do not like rolling around in glass so in bars I would not go to the ground. But on gras or another soft underground I think I would go for the ground, because I am at my best there.

  • @Hondenmoller i thing that a good fighter would chose his battles ... in a street fight u never know if he has a knife or a friend in the shadows ... i do my best to keep out of fights ... the best thing is to go with a lot of friends ( that will have your back ) u will have a good time and the lesser chances are to get in a fight get arested or hurt :)

  • Awesome!!! :D

  • Oh and we also do multiples with weapons and they are told to punch / kick etc hard and fast to improve your blocking reflexes. They even do this for white belts as even the white belts at my club are REALLY advanced for their level

  • @TheSilatiger at my jujitsu club we do multiple attackers training too and the best part about it is that you don't know what they're gonna throw. So jujitsu is a good martial art for the street :)

  • @divertiti in a street fight you always take the groin hit, everybody underestimates the kick to the groin

  • to every martial art sucks when theres multiples-in silat at advanced stage your doin mainly multiple attackers trainin, and its very effective, includin multiples with bladed weapons

  • "BJJ sucks when attacked by more than one guy" : EVERY martial art sucks when attacked by more then one guy, especially when the guys can FIGHT. " Trouwens ziekelijke nickname heb je daar. Maar goed je hebt pillen tegen alles tegenwoordig.

  • @CExplosion

it is not useless and got not effect

    it is in the midle

  • @divertiti id recommend going to the ground in a street fight because most people cant fight on the ground and also they will think its "gay" to fight on the ground so they will try hard to keep it standing but that will leave them open for a quick submission

  • @divertiti your retarded read the desc b4 you post
