this now ranks with "Kandy korn" by Captain Beefheart and "Poison" by the MC5 as one of my all time favorite musical compositions ever. I've been listening non-stop for days, and fought off almost overpowering urges to comit suicide by basking in the breath-taking beauty of this majestic composition. In reality this is the main reason I hate the fact that most people identify the 6's and 70's with slobs like David Crosby

@hoppergrass83 I listened to them at 17 but never heard this song until I was 44. I understand why Cyril says he never listens to the flaming groovies . Magic Christian is a far better vehicle for his incredibly pure vision of rock and roll. God bless the ex-junkie cab driver with his New York Dolls, Velvet Underground and Stooges records and God bless my mother for allowing me to hang out with this dude even though we smoked ciggarettes and drank enough coffee to kill a small nation.

SUCH an awesome band! I discovered them in 1982....got 3 LPs then CDs. Passing the music on to my kids and friends. Wish more people could hear REAL, raw R & R
