http://internationalliving.com/ Hello, Dan Prescher in Cotacachi, Ecuador, here with your roundup of Internationalliving.com postcards for the week ending May 28, 2010. You'll find full versions of all these postcards at internationalliving.com or on the Internationalliving.com Facebook page... both links are below this video.

Suzan Haskins and I spent most of last week in Costa Rica, and Suzan says the newly improved pacific coast highway puts the funky beach vibes of Dominical, Uvita, and Ojochal within easy reach of the capitol, which will change the game all along this stretch of magnificent southern coast.

She also says that Costa Rica's capitol, San Jose, may have the malls and shopping, but it's the nearby mountain town of Grecia that has the perfect combination of small-town lifestyle and mild climate... plus a 2000 square foot house on three and a half acres of productive farm land for just $159,000... although the agent we talked to said it would probably go for less.

Steenie Harvey says she's found a rental in Volterra in Tuscany's Golden Triangle... the stuff of Under the Tuscan Sun dreams... for just $450 per month. But it wasn't the real estate that caught her eye in Volterra... it was the ancient Etruscan sarcophagi scattered around this ancient Tuscan hill town that gave her a thrill. That's Steenie all over... you just have to read this postcard. And while you're at it, read why our new currency expert, Charles DelValle, thinks that changes in the euro-dollar exchange rate makes this a great time to visit Italy... or any place in Europe.

Ronan McMahon shines the spotlight on a place that Suzan and I are going to visit ourselves later this month... a stretch of coast in Ecuador that is arguably the best beach in the country. It's also the least developed because it's been isolated for so long... but that's all about the change in a huge way. Ronan is front-running the infrastructure in Pedernales and San Vicente, and you can read all about it in his postcard.

That's it from me for this week. You'll find all the InternationalLiving.com postcards at Internationalliving.com, and you'll also find the postcards and much, much more fun stuff on our InternationalLiving.com Facebook page... if you're not a fan, you should be. Suzan and I post there regularly, as does Steenie and the rest of the crew, and there is always something going on, so get thee to the Internationalliving.com fFacebook page now! See you next week.
