The Cesarians are a London-based group consisting of singer Charlie Finke (ex Penthouse), pianist Justine Armatage (ex Christian Death, Luke Haines' Baader Meinhoff, Gretschen Hofner), drummer and poet Jan Noble (ex Monkey Island), a powerful wind section with Suzy Owen on trombone and Beverly Crome on french horn, and the brand new bass guitar entry Budge Magraw (also on Gretschen Hofner). Their eponymous debut album, Cesarians 1, was recorded at Abbey Road studios and produced by Craig Leon (historical producer of The Ramones, Blondie, Suicide, Richard Hell, The Fall, Front 242, The Sound, London Symphony Orchestra, Pavarotti). In 2007 they opened for The Last Drive at the Indie Rocket Festival in Pescara (Italy) and have since then toured extensively throughout Europe playing, most notably, at the Admiralspalast in Berlin for the "Lange Nacht der Opern und Theater" and at the Donaufestival in Austria in 2009. In April 2010 they supported Adam Ant at his notorious comeback gig at the Scala and in June they performed alongside Martin Creed at London's ICA.

The Cesarians will be on tour from the end of March to April with a new and strongest formation with bass and french horn players, to present a new four tracks ep on italian Twelve Records coming out in March.
