  • How hard is it to do something like that? I saw a Instructibles guide where you can use your voice to change the shape of a laser. I'm sure attaching speakers to it would make a fairly simple laser cymatic demonstration.

  • its not that hard is you have the right kit: red laser with a broad-ish beam, signal generator and mercury (be very very careful with mercury its very toxic, do some research on it first). re using your voice, if you can hit a pure tone then that would work otherwise you just get random patterns that are not that interesting. hope that helps

  • thanks... you'r best place to start is Hans Jennys book 'Cymatics' I'm using the same physics but with mercury and a laser.

  • Very nice, physics is art

  • thanks :)

  • very nice can you do that in 3D, by using 2 laser perpendically placed with perfect harmonics??

  • sounds interesting. Good work- Keep on.

  • my laser and I* :P

  • I love your video. How can I learn more about the physics behind wha you are doing and how you are doing it?
