National Day of Prayer/Military Tribute

Yeah This is the National Day of prayer video for the Assembly. I took all of the footage from Youtube. In the process i managed to honor all 5 branches of the US Military on accident haha

you really think there is only one God? thats like saying there is only 1 leader of the united states, or the world. only 1 entity created everything? thats like saying only 1 person (george washington) was the creator the united states. thats like saying there is only 1 religious leader in the world, like the pope or something. if you think logically, you would realize that there is probably more then one god (creators).

@hursh4 Yes I do think there is only one God who created everything and He alone is all powerful. That's what I was raised on, that's who I feel, I ask you to respect that like I respect you believing there are multiple gods. I honestly don't see the logic behind there being more than one god, but to each his own.

The people who're willing to risk their lives to fight for their country deserve all the commendation for their bravery under the threat of death.

However you dishonour their service with the first part that you actively and openly undermine the principles that America is founded on by supporting the establishment of anything like religion by government. Sad, because it could've been a wonderful tribute. :(

@Cheebzsta, @eapst28, @fortmyersroyal, @TheStormchaser1 Look, I made t his back when I went to a Christian school. Im in the Air Force now and I have no intent on forcing my faith down anyone's throat. Respecting everyone regardless of religious views is something that all Christians should do (even though the vast majority of us dont follow that) If you arent religious, then dont watch the video, plain and simple.

I can't comment for anyone else you responded to, but I'm afraid you missed the point of I said.

It wasn't about respecting one's religious faith, or anything of the sort, but rather the genuinely admirable principles of freedom that the United States represents.

By suggesting that God lead the nation in any direction you're undermining that. It's a country by free people, for free people. Worship is a private manner while these troops are champions of the Republic, not any God.

I am a member of the military and I find all religions comical. Please don't try to force your views on me. I don't begrudge you the right to believe in your god. All I ask is that you take pause to consider my rights. I have the right not to be alienated because I have different convictions than you do. Bottom line.... is that neither of us should have an expectation that government endorse our ideology.

The irony of this video is that the US Military fights for freedom while, as Mr. Madison said, in no instance has religion "been the guardians of the liberties of the people."
