Hmong uses the RPA (roman popular alphabet), introduced to them in the 1950s by a western missionary (William Smalley). A Hmong farmer by the name of Shong Lue Yang introduced the Paj Hauj script in 1959, but only small clans still use it today.

"nws" is actually pronounced "nu", similar to the english "oo", but with the lips spread wide, almost like a smile. The "aw" in "lawv" is pronounced like the "a" in father morphing into the "u" of butt. The rest is good enough and will get better with practice... I can tell you're kind of rusty at this point and haven't spoke in a while lol.

Yea, I haven't spoken Hmong for like 3-4 months although I still chat with some people online. I'm getting back in the groove with it. I have to start making some spoken Hmong videos again.
