@blindchicken2001 why the heck would you ever get rid of an RG770? I could have 3,000,000 RG770s and i'd still never get rid of one. I would take a bath in them, and make love to all all of them at the same time... plus in good condition they are worth $700+. But, if you're happy then who am i to stop you?

@jazarstevens mine was very mushy at stage volumes, but a tube change to better tubes seriously improved my tone, did not totally eliminate the problem, but made it more manageable

@HolyDio666 i had a MTS for a couple years and i had the same problem, at high (lots of gain) volumes the amp seemed to turn into mush with a serious loss of clarity and punch. and that was through a 4x12 with V30's. great for the bedroom/basement, not so great for the stage.

I have an opportunity to trade an Ibanez rg 770 for one of these heads.
Do you think that's a fair deal? I'm not sure what the pricing is on these heads.
Thanks!

@blindchicken2001 what year is the guitar? if it is a 80's to early 90's era Japanese made ibanez in good condition i would definately keep it, but other than that i would trade it especially if it is one of the newer non prestige level gutars
