The real reason the police are constantly harassing photographers has nothing to do with the 'terrorist threat' myth. It is so they can prevent people exposing the police routinely flouting the law.
Despite what the police might tell you, it is NOT illegal to film or take photographs in a public place.
Photography is not a crime.

  • Good video mate but you should have confronted them actually no they might of bludgeoned you to death for daring to question their authority! I wonder who pays for the coffee them or us? if they claim for it they shouldn't be in Starbucks in the first place

  • @MrCyclist68 Create an email address through a proxy server and log on through a proxy server too. Then just email the station, and others if they don't respond or act on it. There's always Watchdog too.

  • NAZI POLICE!!!!

  • Report them and you may regret it.

They have the PNC database at their finger tips. They know where you live, they know where you work, they know what you drive. They can harass you in so many ways. They will even have their chums on opposite shifts do it so as not to make it obvious.

Yes its annoying that they have one law for them, but Southport police have a reputation of aggression towards people in custody. Is it worth it. Posting your video will have embarrassed them anyway.

  • you should report them

  • I am British and my country is run by terrorists

  • Even if they're responding to an emergency the police still have to follow the laws of the road, but hey who's complaining if they get to your house faster to catch a burgular or something..

  • fucking cunts.

  • I've seen the cunts park on the pavement to go in a kebab shop!

  • If you actually report this to the IPCC or your local police station the officers involved get in shit. They're not above the law and get a bollocking from their superiors if caught doing stuff like this, you know.
