The record's spinning a little too quick... I realize the record's producers had Mitchum's vocals sped up a bit but in this case the turntable is going a bit too fast...

@railwalker1 Yeah, this is definitely sped up. I have a record player that plays 33s and 45s just fine but 78s are way too fast, No idea how to fix it.

@DanDelvis, the later "Cape Fear" is the only DeNiro movie where he made me cringe! They should ALWAYS get a southern boy to play a southern boy in the movies (or a southern girl, at that). Nobody can do a good southern axcent unless they're from the south!

You could try putting weight on the turntable if it doesn't have a speed adjustment.
