There are many decades of evidence, involving children that are born with both genitalia. And I will say from first hand knowledge. That gender identity is a HUGE thing. Most of the suicides are involving gender identity or homosexual tendencies. I would say, DONt play with fire. I feel sorry for this child.

I completely disagree with what the parents are doing. I understand their need to prevent gender roles and stereotypes from affecting their child, but the idea of what makes a male a male, and a female a female are more anatomical than they are psychological.

You can't plant an apple seed and tell it to chose whether it wants to be a banana or apple. It just is an apple. A female is a female. A man is a man. I don't care how you explain it. That's just the way God made it. People kill me when they keep trying to come up with their own idea of life to fit the wsy they think.

Cenk is all wrong about this. He is reinforcing exactly the kind of attitude that justifies these parents' behavior. They're fighting an uphill battle with society, but I'm sure they know that. They're just taking a stand. I thought it was weird at first, but the more I watched this video, the more I understood it. Good for them.

Those hippies should look up the case of David Reimer. Dr. John Money banked his career on the very same idea that gender identity was completely a result of societal programming. Of course he was wrong, and his little "experiment" ended disastrously for the Reimer family.

@darkprincess1012 Why am I ignorant? I know there are differences. I even said in my last reply there are differences, lol, unfortunately I can't ignore some of them. I'm just saying none of them really matter. Social roles are the biggest divider between the sexes. If I like guy stuff then I should be fully accepted as 'one of the guys'. I shouldn't have to deal with other girls picking on me because of it.

"Sex" refers to the biological and physiological characteristics that define men and women.

The parents keeping their child gender neutral doesn't necessarily mean they're keeping him/her sex neutral.

if this child is a hermaphrodite then i think the parents are doing the right thing, rather than accidentally assign the wrong sex.
