the second device is not necessary... there are many devices that can be used in place. Like an xbox 360 or PS3.... or if u have a newer model TV that connects to the internet.
Easy to see why u would think u need the second device.

besides the storage u also need some other thing to plug to ur tv :) lol

Awesome product. I bought it. It is the simplest NAS I ever laid my hands on. Remote Access works like a charm. Hope they wont charge too much for it after a year :) I read it is 9.99$ in US. Anyone knows more?
This presentation looks like it is from their launch party or something. I see some audience sitting there :)
