@Imreadingthisaloud Good choice lol

@Djmarcod yeah im very doubtful of anything over a few HP increase without a map or more compression, beyond that it sounds supred, u should listen to chocolate volcano corolla XRS, it sounds vicous! fuck it am goni get an intake this week, al post it when i get it :P
-
@Imreadingthisaloud 15bhp does sound a little optimistic lol. Although a few people have seen the good side of 200bhp at the fly with just an intake and either the TTE or a custom backbox. Some people believe the standard intake and backbox are very restrictive. I have yet to get my car on the Dyno so remain open minded for now.

@Djmarcod well i looked at the AEM system and they CLAIM 15bhp increase, no idea how they can claim that! the typhoons pretty dear for an intake, but it sure sounds sweet!!!

@Imreadingthisaloud I'd recommend it for sure. It's sounds amazing in Lift and there's a nice improvement in throttle response. People may debate it but I reckon it pulls harder too.

iv got a 2zz and i must say WOW the typhoon sounds...hollow! may be worth the purchase

@carpetmonstero Agreed. However, I have 2 kids so the only form of weight reduction I can carry out is getting lightweight wheels.
at the moment i have a civic sport 1.6vtec and am looking to upgrade my car. corolla is my favourite at the moment but have seen a few bad reviews. what is it like to drive? is it quick?

@jenbean92 I've not come across an owner who has been dissapointed with it. The people who give it a bad review seem to miss the point. It is cheaper to buy and insure than it's nearest natrural competitor, the EP3 Civic Type R. The Type R is easily the better track day car as standard, but with the saving you could make by buying the Corolla, you can easily afford a decent set of coilovers. The Corolla is the easiest to live with on a daily basis. It is better equipped, it has....

@jenbean92 aircon, climate control, traction control and stability control. If your budget will allow I would always recomment getting the facelifted version as it looks much sportier. Though I do enjoy wiping the smirks off people's faces in my pre-facelifted version as it's a proper sleeper lol. The pre-facelift needs lowering springs at least because it sits way too high for a hot hatch.
Oh, and is it fast? I'll let you decide lol
