@OrlicaSK I've been riding and leasing horses for three years, but because they are all boarded at facilities, I don't have to do anything in terms of feeding, other than give them their grain. So for me, it's important to learn how to feed them on my own, for future reference.
I'm not disagreeing with you. I would never rush out and buy a horse if I didn't know all of this.

@OrlicaSK Well some of us are trying to learn. I think anyone who is new to horses should consult their veterinarian regardless of their knowledge.

Morn: 2Flakes hay + 1quart promence horse grain
Noon : a bundle of home grown grass
Night : 2 Flakes hay + 1quart promence horse grain

the water is clean the container that its in has rusted or something.

I prefer a water bucket (22 galon) to automatic waters. Because I like to know if water consumption goes up or down, and they are easier to clean than auto waters.
